Frequently asked questions

What airport should I fly into?

Panama City Beach (ECP) is the closest airport…just about 40 minutes away. It’s small, easy in, and easy out. Southwest flyies in and out of ECP.
Destin airport is about an hour away and is also very convenient.
I usually fly into Pensacola because Frontier has direct flights from Denver, but it’s about 1.5 hours drive.

Do I need to rent a car?

Yes, this is not an urban city and Uber/Lyft may not be readily available.  The golf cart is lots of fun, but limited to 30A where the speed limit is less than 35 MPH and they aren’t allowed in Rosemary Beach.

How much parking is available? Can I park an RV?

There is parking in front of the home for five vehicles. You cannot park on the street and there is no other public parking nearby so do not bring more than five cars. There is not any room to park an RV or camper trailer.

Can I host a wedding or other event?

We do not allow any events that include attendees in addition to the (maximum of 24) guests that are staying at the property.

Do you have Wifi? Cable? Streaming?

Yes, we have very good Internet service (around 100 MBS) with Wifi throughout  the property.
All TVs have Roku or Amazon so you are free to sign into your own streaming accounts.  We do have one DVD player.
We do have cable TV including ESPN on the main great room TV.

Is the kitchen well stocked?

Yes, we have two kitchens and they are well equipped. We have plenty of white dishes and glass for service to 24 people.

There is a large selections of pots, pans and baking ware. We do have a kitchen aide mixer, hand mixer, toaster oven, two ovens, one microwave.

We have plenty of serving bowls, utensils, spatulas, etc.

Do you have a grill?

Yes, we have a gas grill connected to natural gas. Please be sure and turn the gas valve off when finished and please leave the grill clean for the next guest (our cleaners do not clean the grill).

Can kids drive the golf cart?

No!!!!  The golf cart is a registered vehicle. And just like a rental car, our insurance requires drivers be 25+ years old.  And just like a vehicle capacity is limited to the number of seatbelts (6) that must be worn at all times.   Unlike a modern car the brakes can take a little more pressure so drive carefully.  If you damage the golf cart you are responsible for all repair costs.

What beach items do you have?

We have at least eight folding beach chairs, and usually an assortment of sand toys, boogie boards etc. (this can vary depending on what prior guests leave and what they lose 🙂

Is the pool heated?

The pool is heated at no additional charge November-April if the pool water is below 80. The hot tub is turned on by remote and is available year round (takes about 30 minutes to heat up)

Are bikes available?

We have at least ten beach cruiser bikes available.  Please understand we don’t have an onsite bike mechanic so they are provided on an as-is basis.  We don’t have little kid’s bikes partly because we don’t want to be responsible for their safety driving along 30A.  And please bring a helmet.  Please use the provided padlocks to keep them locked when parked…many other tourists may mistake them for their own and ride off.

Are beach bonfires allowed?

To have a fire on the beach requires a special permit, so it’s not practical. There are companies that will setup a fire and chairs for you and then cleanup. Try www.bonfiresatthebeach30a.com  or www.30ablaze.com

How do I get to the beach?

The walk to the beach is 1/2 mile. About 10 minutes walking or 2 minutes on the golf cart.  There is a small parking lot at San Juan Ave with wooden stairs down to the beach.  It works great to load your beach gear on the golf cart and park it there while the rest of your group walks.

Can I parasail? Jetski?

Not along 30A.  These activities are prohibited.  But Destin and Sandestin are an easy drive where they have jet ski rentals, parasailing, shopping malls, etc.

How far is Seaside?

While there are many shops and restaurants in Seagrove (1/2 mile walk), Seaside is a one of a kind destination and it’s just 1 1/2 miles east on 30A.  There is dedicated golf cart parking and lots of bike parking.  This is a quick, fun bike ride, a brisk walk, or you can zip down on the golf cart.  Lots of shops, restaurants, the Airstream food trucks.   You can’t access the beach here, but there is no need…it’s the same white sand and clear water but a lot more crowded than the beach by Elm by the Sea.
